Climate Action Team Logo Deadline Extended on Comment Period for Climate Action Team Reports to the Governor and Legislature

In response to requests for additional time to review the Climate Action Team draft report and forthcoming economic analysis I am extending the comment period on the draft report until January 31, 2006, a full three-week extension.

The Climate Action Team report will be submitted to the Governor and the Legislature in mid February to allow for incorporation of public comment as appropriate.

Developing a plan to meet the Governor's climate change emission reduction targets is important, and I want to assure adequate time for public review and comment and Climate Action Team analysis before forwarding recommendations to the Governor.

The economic analyses will be released in the first week of January.

There will be two additional public meetings of the Climate Action Team to review the economic analyses, one in Northern California and one in Southern California:

January 23, 2006
CalEPA HQ, Byron Sher Auditorium
2 to 5 p.m.

January 24, 2006
Ronald Reagan Building, Los Angeles
2 to 5 p.m.
