On September 28-29, 2009, more than 60 GCF representatives and other stakeholders from the United States, Brazil, and Indonesia convened in Los Angeles for the second Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force (GCF) meeting to continue their efforts to implement the forest sector provisions of the 2008 MOUs. Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force / Non-governmental Organizations Meetings, Belém, Brazil, June 18-19, 2009
On June 18th and 19th, 2009, more than 30 representatives from all Brazilian, Indonesian, and U.S. signatory states and provinces to the November 2008 MOUs met for the first Governors' Climate and Forests Task Force (GCF) meeting in Belém, Brazil, to begin implementing the MOU forest sector provisions. In addition, the afternoon of June 19th was devoted to a joint meeting of the GCF representatives and over 25 non-governmental organization representatives from Brazil, Indonesia, and the U.S. Powerpoint presentations from the two meeting days are provided below.
