The Inter-Agency Forest Working Group (IFWG) was created to review and provide guidance for all California forest and and climate change related activities. This website section will host the calendar and all work materials for the IFWG.

The Board of Forestry and the California Natural Resources Agency will co-chair the IFWG with participation from seven other departments and agencies including:

• California Environmental Protection Agency
• Air Resources Board
• California Department of Fish and Game
• California Energy Commission
• Department of Water Resources
• California Department of Forest and Fire Protection
• U.S. Forest Service

All IFWG meetings and materials will be posted on this site ten days before each meeting.

The purpose of the Working Group is to provide recommendations and technical information to assist the Board of Forestry and Fire Protection in achieving its goals and objectives as outlined in the Board's report to the Air Resources Board on Assembly Bill 32 and in relation to the climate adaptation strategies as referenced in Executive Order EO-13-08. The IFWG will establish, for Board consideration, a clear list of priorities for policy development by March 31, 2009.
